Senior Full-stack Engineer

Our clients feature some of the most recognized global consumer electronics brands, and we partner with the largest electronics retailers in the Nordic countries. We enable them to run marketing campaigns towards audiences they’ve never been able to reach, and with ad creative they’ve never been able to produce. We guide prospective customers through their purchasing journey, from initial interest to proven purchase intent, and to their preferred retailer to convert. 

The job of a modern marketer is quite complicated and often full of boring and repetitive manual work. For retailers with thousands of products it becomes impossible to do a good job for each product manually. To solve this, we integrate with many different data sources and ad networks, leverage user generated content and AI to put the best possible ad in front of the right person at the right time. We’ve built a next generation advertising platform which automates much of what performance marketers, graphics designers and copywriters do with images, videos, ad copy, reviews, product information, keywords, bidding and budget optimization so that we can produce awesome marketing at scale.

Now, we're looking for a senior full-stack developer to join us as we begin our scale-up journey.  Our ideal candidate would be someone who is happy to work with our clients and stakeholders to understand their pain points and align improvements with the overall architectural vision of the solution. They would have a sense of good UX design and feel strongly that a successful product can not simply be effective, feature-full or powerful, but must also be intuitive and easy for the end user.

You’ll be joining a team of two very experienced engineers and work with modern technology in a fast paced environment. Our stack is using React, Java, Spring Boot, Python, MongoDB, MySQL and with a fair bit of cutting edge PyTorch sprinkled in for machine learning purposes; all of it running on AWS with continuous delivery. We leverage serverless services like ECS/Fargate, Lambda, Lambda@Edge, CloudFront, RDS, S3 and SQS to do much of the heavy lifting and make everything DevOps a breeze. Deep experience with our stack is not a must, we believe the right candidate will be a keen learner with a broad experience that easily transfers to new areas.

Your typical days will be filled with:

• Full-stack design and development of React and Java applications, where everything from the UI down to the backend and its automation would be within your domain.
  
• You’ll be working closely with the users of our software and other stakeholders to ensure what you build is what will have the most contribution towards our company's success.
• Improving user journeys through the application to make it as easy and intuitive as possible to use.
• Optimising ad performance and user productivity in different ways. For example, automating campaign creation or processing of ad creative, or Integration of new retail partners, data sources and ad networks.
• Technical discussions with the CTO and CPO on how to evolve our applications and architecture, to meet future business needs.
• Informal UX sessions with users to ensure our applications satisfy their needs in the best way.

• Caring about the continued success of our company and empathising with the users of your software, always being open minded and working diligently towards what’s best for the overall business.
• Proficient in Swedish and English oral and written communication.
